Firing at monsters. Review Rift Loopers

Crimsonland and Vampire Survivors mixture. There is a cooperative. Early access.

The game is declared for the Windows platform.

The gameplay is a twin-style shooter in the form of battles in the arena.

In the beginning we have a starting hero and the most primitive weapon. We use this fighter to blur to something more interesting.

The battles are typical. There is one in stock (how to switch to the following is not yet clear, but it seems to be) location – a small dilapidated town where monsters constantly appear.

The enemies begin to attack slowly, but quickly attacks become very powerful. There are not so many types of opponents, but over time, the stronger are tightened, and the number of attackers is growing.

Mini-bosses come from time to time. They are several times fatter than an ordinary enemy, when death they leave a chest with prey: crystals and a temporary upgrade or several.

An experience is gaining for the murder of monsters, which leads to an increase in the level inside the race. At the same time, we get temporary bonuses to our weapons, hero or some active ability.

There is a synergy table of such skills and improvements within the level.

Sometimes special purple crystals fall from monsters (they are in chests). It is advisable to collect the maximum amount – this is a resource that is involved in global pumping.

You can open for crystals:

– New classes of heroes.

– Pump globally passive improvements.

– New skins for heroes.

Classes of characters currently have six pieces. Initially, there are one and two openly for purchase for crystals. Heroes have a completely different play style.

Each class has a special active skill and the options for equipped weapons, which are also bought for crystals, accessible only to it. Guns of new grades are much more powerful than starting, so they should be bought as early as possible. Two or three weapons account.

For crystals, you can make passive improvements of all heroes, approximately the same as done in Vampire Survivors.

There is another type of resource – skull. Where to put them did not understand them yet, but they are accumulating after the races stable.

In order to open some classes of characters, weapons and licenses, only crystals alone – you still need to fulfill the difficult conditions of the Challenge.

There is a roadmap of early access.

Consider the pros and cons of the game, summarize:

+ Simple but pleasant graphics.

+ Good musical and sound accompaniment.

+ Good systems for the development of heroes within the level and global. The weapon is also linked here.

+ Dynamic, competitive battles with monsters.

+ There is a cooperative up to three people or you can play one.

What can be both a plus and a minus:

± The game unobtrusively pushes to the coope. Classes synergy and the ability to recharge in turn – beckoned. In solitary mode not to overcome is not very easy.

– The monotony of one location. There are others, but it is much more likely that they are in development and are simply shown in the trailer.

– No Russian language of text. The required level of knowledge of English is low, you have to translate descriptions of weapons and pumping options.

The conclusions are objective

A aren-shooter with a good amount of content (classes of fighters, weapons options, global pumping, development inside the missions, challenge to open all kinds). It is a little upset that I have to play in one location (maybe I just dull and do not understand how to switch to another). Project in early access.

It seemed that the game is imprisoned on the cooperative. If you overcome one thing, then each class of fighters has serious shortcomings that interfere with serious promotion. For example, a doctor can be reddened almost endlessly, but he has a little damage from a shot, so they are dug him, a soldier with a rifle has excellent damage, but he does not know how to constantly be treated and so on. But if you imagine that they work in the team, then an interesting battle system looms.

The game is in early access, but there is enough content. While you open all the operatives, while you buy a weapon while you pump it, you need a lot of time for it. Given the reputation of the developer (two little -known, but solid games Dungeons of Edera and Hold the Fort were released), I personally lean towards the option that early access will end successfully.
